As the President of OutofYourLife.comSM, Julia Taffet knows a thing or two about heartbreak and ex-boyfriend jewelry. She created this service to serve as a therapy of sorts, to help bring women some much needed closure as well as a little extra cash to help soothe a broken heart.
No one knows better how to make the most of an unwanted ring or gold chain. Julia Taffet has worn every hat in the Lippincott, LLC family, intake and processing, to issuing payments to managing customer service. But what she loves most is finding out what her customers spent their payments on. From the "IT" handbag to the spa vacation, there's nothing like hearing a woman's laughter about how much she's better off for having sold "his" jewelry.
Julia was fully prepared for the challenge of launching this brand after having launched Red Swan.com in 2008 in the role of Director of Marketing Logistics and Operations. Her unique ability to not only manage the daily business challenges of a large team but also act as Lippincott's company liaison on several marketing initiatives made her the clear choice to launch OutofYourLife.com. She embraced this opportunity because she felt so strongly about her own generation's need for a brand focused specifically on wiping the slate clean by selling ex-boyfriend jewelry.
While at Red Swan, Julia worked closely on every aspect of building the brand, from designing the packaging and collateral, to hiring and training the customer service team, and managing the online media buying. She was directly responsible for meeting the quarterly budget and oversaw the pr initiatives as well as directing an off-site fulfillment team dealing with thousands of leads per month.
Prior to joining Lippincott, Julia was responsible for planning in-store events, building customer lists and increasing business for Chelsea, a hip women's boutique in Boulder Colorado. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado. Julia is happily single for now and lives in Center City, Philadelphia.
In her 38 years, Jamie Bright Forman has weathered a few of her own memorable break-ups and has also been the shoulder to cry on for many of her broken hearted friends. So it didn't take much convincing for Jamie to jump on the opportunity to work the media side of this very savvy, yet sensitive brand.
After spending more than a decade producing network television interviews for Dateline NBC, this Emmy winning booker has a unique perspective on how to present very personal stories to a broad and diverse audience. In her perspective, OutofYourLife.com answers the age-old question so many women ask themselves, "What's the secret to how to move on with my life?"
Jamie joined the OutofYourLife.com's parent company, Lippincott LLC, in March of 2008 as Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Relations. As company spokesperson, she was featured on Rachael Ray presenting the company's newest brand RedSwan.com to its first national audience. Since then, Jamie has appeared on WNYW-TV, Fox's Evening News, WCAU-TV, NBC's Philadelphia affiliate, as well as being featured in several blogs and newspapers.
Jamie admits her own comfort on front of the camera is due to her years of experience preparing clients for their best interviews. After leaving her full time position at Dateline to start a family, Jamie had the pleasure of coaching hundreds of experts and authors on how to obtain both local and national media coverage, as well as how to maximize their on-camera experience. Her company Your Media Coach Inc. has helped launch countless numbers of professionals from obscurity to the most watched television programs in the United States.
As a former Booking Producer at NBC News and Sally Jessy Raphael, Jamie was known for her laser sharp talent of finding the headline and matching it with the best voice to deliver the story. Her "Sound-bite School" has graduated confident and concise speakers, ready to deliver their message... All to the reporter's delight!
Jamie's honors included: The Sigma Delta Chi Award, The Cine Golden Eagle, and an Emmy Award for her participation in booking Dateline's one-hour special on the crash of Flight 93. She has appeared as an invited guest speaker at the ABA Book Expo, the National Publicity Summit, the Quantum Leap Business Training Program, as well as at several universities throughout the country. Immediately following her graduation from the University of Maryland, Jamie was awarded a communications fellowship from the International Radio and Television Society.
She continues her work with NBC News on a freelance basis, producing her exclusive coverage of the McCaughey Septuplets with Ann Curry, which began in 1997.
Jamie resides in the Philadelphia area with her husband Andrew and two young children.
